The Case Three-dimensional Teaching Method (CTTM) has been increasingly widely applied in hospital clerkships, internships and standardized training in recent years. In comparison, the traditional teaching model presents numerous drawbacks. CTTM can better stimulate students' learning interest, improve their self-study ability and integrate theories with clinical practice more closely. It features multi-dimensional perspectives, abundant information and systematic teaching advantages. This paper comprehensively reviews domestic literature on the application of CTTM, compares CTTM with traditional teaching methods, and summarizes its strengths and limitations. Combined with existing improved strategies for CTTM, this study aims to explore better application schemes. Finally, based on the inherent characteristics of pediatrics, this paper proposes adopting the improved closed-loop CTTM in the standardized training of pediatric residents, so as to further optimize the existing training system for pediatric residents.
