Abstract:Objective: To analyse the value of digital smile design (DSD) combined with all-ceramic veneer technology in anterior tooth restoration. Methods: Eighty-two patients undergoing dental restoration at Zhoukou Stomatological Hospital between January 2022 and June 2024 were randomly assigned to either the conventional group (41 cases, all-ceramic veneer technology) or the study group (41 cases, DSD combined with all-ceramic veneer technology).? Periodontal health parameters [Plaque Index (PLI), Gingival Index (GI), Subgingival Bleeding Index (SBI)], aesthetic scores [Pink Aesthetic Score (PES), White Aesthetic Score (WES)], complication rates, 1-year restoration integrity rates, and patient satisfaction were compared between groups. Results: Compared with the conventional group at 6 months post-repair, the study group exhibited significantly reduced SBI, GI, and PLI scores (P < 0.05). Compared with the conventional group at 6 months post-repair, the study group demonstrated significantly increased PES and WES scores (P < 0.05). The complication rate in the study group was 2.44% (1/41), significantly lower than the 19.51% (8/41) in the conventional group (P < 0.05). The 1-year prosthesis survival rate in the study group was 100.00% (41/41), significantly higher than the 85.37% (35/41) in the conventional group (P < 0.05). The prosthesis satisfaction rate in the study group was 95.12% (39/41), significantly higher than the 80.49% (33/41) in the conventional group (P < 0.05).Conclusion:? The combination of DSD with all-ceramic veneer technology for anterior tooth restoration improves periodontal health and aesthetic outcomes, reduces complication rates, enhances the 1-year restoration integrity rate, and yields higher patient satisfaction.
