Abstract:Objective: To explore the influence of angiogenesis-related factors on hemangiomatous dilation of arteriovenous fistulas (AVF) in hemodialysis patients. Method: Sixty hemodialysis patients who visited the blood purification center of our hospital from February 2023 to April 2025 were selected as the research subjects. According to whether AVF hemangiomatous dilation occurred, they were divided into the occurrence group and the non-occurrence group. Collect and compare the baseline data of the two groups. Compare the levels of angiogenesis-related factors [vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (FGF-2), platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor -β (TGF-β)]. The influence of angiogenesis-related factors on the hemangiomatous dilation of AVF in hemodialysis patients was explored through Logistic regression analysis. To explore the predictive value of angiogenesis-related factors for hemangiomatous dilation of AVF in hemodialysis patients. Result: Among the 60 hemodialysis patients, 12 patients developed AVF hemangiomatous dilation, with an incidence rate of 20.00%. There were 48 patients without AVF hemangiomatous dilation. The dialysis age of the occurrence group was significantly longer than that of the non-occurrence group, and the levels of VEGF, FGF-2, PDGF and TGF-β were significantly higher than those of the non-occurrence group (P < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that dialysis age, VEGF, and FGF-2 were the influencing factors of AVF hemangiomatous dilation in hemodialysis patients (P < 0.05). The ROC curve was plotted. The results showed that the AUC values of dialysis age, VEGF, FGF-2 alone and in combination for predicting AVF hemangiomatous dilation in hemodialysis patients were 0.681, 0.779, 0.762, and 0.915, respectively. The combined predictive value was the highest. Conclusion: Serum VEGF and FGF-2 can have an impact on the occurrence of AVF hemangiomatous dilation in hemodialysis patients. The higher the levels of serum VEGF and FGF-2, the higher the risk of AVF hemangiomatous dilation.
