Abstract:Objective To explore and analyze the clinical outcome prediction value of the ratio of serum follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) to luteinizing hormone (H) (FSH/LH) combined with serum inhibin B (INHB) in patients with normal ovarian reserve function infertility treated with in vitro fertilizationembryo transfer/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI). Methods A total of 242 infertility patients with normal ovarian reserve undergoing IVF/ICSI assisted pregnancy in Nanyang First People's Hospital and Nanyang Medical College First Affiliated Hospital were enrolled between December 2021 and December 2024. Follow-up patient ovarian response, which was divided into the normal group (normal ovarian response, 8–14 ficles, n?=?102), the high-response group (high-response ovaries, ≥15 follicles, n?=?7), and the low-response group (low-response ovaries, ≤7 follicles, n?=?66). The ovarian function indexes (FSH, LH, INHB, FSH/LH) and ovarian response [antral follicle count (AFC)] were compared. The correlation between FSH, LH, FSH/LH, INHB and AFC was analyzed by Pearson. The pregnancy outcomes in all patients were followed up 6 weeks later. The diagnostic value of FSH, LH, FSH/LH and INHB for pregnancy outcomes was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Results In low-response group, normal group and high-response group, levels of FSH, LH and FSH/LH were gradually decreased, while levels of INHB and AFC were gradually increased (P<0.05). FSH, LH and FSH/LH were negatively correlated with AFC, while INHB was positively correlated with it (P<0.05). Follow-up at 6 weeks post-treatment revealed 164 pregnancies and 78 non-pregnancies. FSH, LH and FSH/LH in pregnancy group were lower than those in non-pregnancy group, while INHB was higher than that in non-pregnancy group (P<0.05). ROC curves analysis showed that area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity and specificity of serum FSH/LH, INHB and FSH/LH combined with INHB for predicting pregnancy outcomes in infertility patients with normal ovarian reserve were 0.819,70.12%,79.49%,0.851,88.41%,67.95%,0.911,84.76%and 85.89%, respectively. Conclusion FSH/LH combined with serum inhibin B has significant value in evaluating ovarian reserve, predicting ovarian response and pregnancy outcomes.
