Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of early ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid parenteral nutrition preparation on recovery of nerve function and gastrointestinal motility in patients after laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. Methods According to computer random grouping system, 212 patients undergoing radical resection of colorectal cancer in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Luohe Medical College and Linying County People's Hospital were divided into control group (routine parenteral nutrition preparation) and observation group (ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid parenteral nutrition preparation) between January 2023 and January 2025, 106 cases in each group. All patients were intervened for 15d. After intervention, recovery of intestinal function, autonomic nerve function (male erectile function, grading of female sexual pleasure), immune function (CD4+, CD8+, CD4+/CD8+), inflammatory factors [interleukin-2 (IL-2), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)] and nutritional indexes [hemoglobin (Hb), albumin (ALB), serum total protein (STP)] were compared. Results The recovery time of bowel sound and the first exhaust time in observation group were shorter than those in control group (P<0.05), but there was no difference in postoperative length of hospital stay between the two groups (P>0.05). The male erectile dysfunction in observation group was milder than that in control group, and grading of female sexual pleasure was better than that in control group (P<0.05). After intervention, levels of CD4+, CD4+/CD8+, Hb, ALB and STP were increased in both groups, which were higher in observation group than control group, while levels of CD8+, IL-2, IL-6 and TNF-α were decreased, which were lower in observation group than control group (P<0.05). Conclusion ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid parenteral nutrition preparation can effectively promote the recovery of intestinal function and autonomic nerve function in patients after laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer, improve immune function, inflammatory factors and nutritional status.
