Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the effect of bacterial lysis products combined with Yupingfeng granules on pediatric recurrent respiratory tract infection (RRTI). Methods: 106 children with RRTI in our hospital were selected as experimental subjects, and the cases were collected from January 2021 to December 2024, and were divided into 53 cases in the western medicine treatment group (treated with bacterial lysis products) and 53 cases in the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicines group (treated with bacterial lysis products combined with Yupingfeng granules) according to the different treatment plans. The efficacy, symptom disappearance time, inflammatory factor [tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-2 (IL-2), interleukin-6 (IL-6)] levels, and immune function [immunoglobulin A (IgA), immunoglobulin M (IgM), immunoglobulin G (IgG)] of the combination of Chinese and Western medicines group and the Western medicines treatment group were compared. Results: The total effective rate was 96.23% (51/53) higher in the combination of Chinese and Western medicines group than 79.25% (42/53) in the Western medicine treatment group (P < 0.05); compared with the Western medicine treatment group, the disappearance time of fever, cough, and wheezing was shorter in the combination of Chinese and Western medicines group (P < 0.05); after the treatment and compared with the Western medicine treatment group, the combination of Chinese and Western medicines group showed a lower level of TNF-alpha and IL-6, and a higher level of IL-2 ( P < 0.05); IgA, IgM and IgG were higher in the combination of Chinese and Western medicines group compared with the Western medicine treatment group after treatment (P < 0.05). Conclusion :Bacterial lysis products combined with Yupingfeng granules are effective in pediatric RRTI, which helps to inhibit the inflammation of the organism and improve its immune function, thus achieving effective control and accelerated relief of clinical symptoms.
