Abstract:[Abstract] Objective: To analyze the application effect of Chaiqi Ning Shenmian Tang combined with benzodiazepines in insomnia patients with heart and spleen deficiency syndrome. Method: According to the random number table method, 60 patients with heart and spleen deficiency syndrome insomnia admitted to our hospital from September 2021 to September 2024 were divided into an observation group (n=30) and a control group (n=30). The control group was treated with benzodiazepines, while the observation group was treated with Chaiqining Shenmian Tang in addition to the control group. Both groups of patients were treated continuously for 2 months. Compare the clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores, cognitive function [Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale (Montreal Cognitive Assessment?,MoCA)], anxiety level [Hamilton Anxiety Scale (Hamilton Anxiety Scale,HAMA)], sleep quality [Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index,PSQI)], neurotransmitter factor levels [serum albumin (Glycated Albumin,GA) and serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine,5-HT)], serum inflammatory factor levels, and incidence of adverse reactions between two groups. Results: Compared with the control group, the observation group had a higher overall effective rate of treatment (P<0.05); Compared with the control group, the observation group had a lower TCM syndrome score after treatment (P<0.05); Compared with the control group, the observation group had lower HAMA and PSQI scores and higher MoCA scores after treatment (P<0.05); Compared with the control group, the observation group had higher levels of GA and 5-HT after treatment (P<0.05); Compared with the control group, the observation group had lower levels of serum inflammatory factors after treatment (P<0.05); There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Chaiqi Ningshen Anmian Tang and benzodiazepines can improve the clinical symptoms of insomnia patients with heart and spleen deficiency syndrome, regulate GA and 5-HT levels, inhibit inflammatory reactions in the body, reduce anxiety levels, improve sleep quality, and enhance cognitive function. The effect is definite and the safety is high, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
