Abstract:Objective: To investigate and compare the efficacy and aesthetic degree of different 3M resins in the repair of wedge-shaped defect teeth. Methods: 80 patients with wedge-shaped defect teeth in the hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected as the subjects of this study. According to the envelope randomization method, they were divided into control group (40 cases, 45 teeth, light-cured composite resin filling) and observation group (40 cases, 48 teeth, Z350 XT flowable resin filling). Before treatment and after 6 months of treatment, periodontal indicators [alkaline phosphatase (ALP), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin (IL-6)], dental aesthetic degree, masticatory function, quality of life and occurrence of complications were observed and compared between groups. Results: Before treatment, the levels of ALP, AST, hs-CRP and IL-6 and scores of dental aesthetic degree, masticatory function and oral health impact profile (OHIP-14) were close in the two groups (P>0.05). After 6 months of treatment, the OHIP-14 score in both groups was decreased, and the score in observation group was lower than that in control group (P<0.05). The levels of ALP, AST, hs-CRP and IL-6 and scores of dental aesthetic degree and masticatory function were enhanced in the two groups after 6 months of treatment compared with those before treatment, and the levels of ALP, AST, hs-CRP and IL-6 in observation group were lower than those in control group while the scores of teeth aesthetic degree and masticatory function were higher than those in control group (P<0.05). The total incidence rate of complications in observation group was lower than that in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Z350 XT flowable resin has better improvements on aesthetic degree, masticatory function than light-cured composite resin, and the former one can more obviously improve the periodontal status and has better teeth repair, and it can better enhance the quality of life and reduce the complications.
