Abstract:Objective: To analyze the application value of dental implant restoration for dental trauma repair at different times. Methods: A total of 120 patients with dental trauma in our hospital were selected. The case collection period was from January 2021 to December 2023. According to the timing of dental implant restoration, they were divided into the immediate restoration group (60 cases with immediate restoration) and the delayed restoration group (60 cases with delayed restoration). The restoration effects, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), periodontal indicators [periodontal pocket depth (PD), plaque index (PLI), gingival sulcus bleeding index (SBI)], and complications of the two groups were compared. Results: The excellent and good rate of repair in the immediate repair group was 91.67% (55/60), and there was no significant difference compared with 88.33% (53/60) in the delayed repair group (P > 0.05). After treatment, compared with the delayed repair group, the VAS score of the immediate repair group was lower (P < 0.05). After treatment, compared with the delayed repair group, the PD, PLI and SBI in the immediate repair group were lower (P < 0.05). The incidence of complications in the immediate repair group was 5.00% (3/60), which was lower than 20.00% (12/60) in the delayed repair group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Immediate and delayed dental implant restoration have comparable effects on the restoration of dental trauma, but compared with delayed dental implant restoration, immediate dental implant restoration can significantly reduce the pain of the organism, improve the periodontal indicators of the patients, and reduce the occurrence of periodontal tissue redness and swelling, periodontal overflow pus and other complications.
